Marilyn Brown McKenzie passed away on September 26, 2021 around 4 PM in Gallatin, TN. She was born August 28, 1942 in Amory, MS. She was the daughter of Maither Brown and Joyce Pennington Brown, sister to Dorinda Brown Miller of Amory, MS. She married John Wayne McKenzie of whom she met on a blind date in Memphis, TN during Nursing School. After revealing her real name, the love story continued and lead to marriage and three beautiful children, John David McKenzie, Warren Bradley McKenzie (Jamie Meeks), and Melanie McKenzie Webster (Scott Webster). Marilyn loved spending time with her family and her sister and brother-in-law, Dorinda and Lee Miller from her hometown of Amory, Ms. She was a proud and loving grandmother to five grandchildren (oldest to youngest) Wilson Webster, Blaine McKenzie, Wyatt Webster, Wade Webster, and Callie Joyce McKenzie, as well as great granddaughter, Emersyn Dellamano. She lived most of her life in Germantown, TN working for St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, TN, on the IV Team. She later moved to Murfreesboro, TN and finished her career at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN. She enjoyed reading and working in her beautiful yard, as well as spending time with her grandchildren. A graveside service for Marilyn will be Friday, October 1, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at the Forest Hill Cemetery East in Memphis, TN.
