Obituary of JoAnn Tallent

JoAnn Cristen Tallent, age 78 of Nashville, passed away October 12, 2021. JoAnn was preceded in death by husband, William Tallent; parents, Ernest Sr. and Catherine Jones Cosby; brothers, Ernest Cosby, Jr. and Bill Cosby; sisters, Imogene Dunn and Linda Earwood. She is survived by her loving children, Judy (Doodle) Rucker, James (Judy) Gober, Jr. and Wayne (Rhonda) Gober, Sr.; brothers, Charles Cosby and Pete Cosby; step-brother, Bobby Johnson; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. JoAnn’s grandmother was a McCoy making her an original descendant of the famous McCoy Family. She loved her family, friends and cats. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, October 18th at 1 PM from the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home at Hendersonville with Brother Tim Spann officiating. Interment will be Wednesday, October 20th at 2:45 PM at Spring Hill Cemetery in Madison with Ricky Tobitt, Brian Gober, Chase Gober, Andrew Gober, Blake Gober, James Whitby III, Austin Whitby and Noah Tobitt serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be Sunday, October 17th from 4-8 PM and Monday, October 18th from 11 AM until time of service.
