Obituary of Wanda Lee Chambers

Wanda Lee Chambers, age 78 of Gallatin, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021. Funeral Service will be Friday, November 12th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, November 11th from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Friday, November 12th from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Crestview Memory Gardens, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to Gallatin First United Methodist Church, 149 West Main Street, Gallatin, TN 37066, or to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, 4009 Hillsboro Pike, Ste. 209, Nashville, TN 37215. Mrs. Chambers was born February 26, 1943 in Sumner County to the late Virgil Wilkerson and Lela Henson Wilkerson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by sisters, Annie Jo Perry and Louise Lauderdale. She is survived by husband of 60 years, Moye Chambers of Gallatin; daughter, Ginger Lee Swindle (Darren) of Gallatin; and 2 grandchildren, Cadie Swindle and Emerie Swindle. Mrs. Chambers was a member of First United Methodist Church in Gallatin. She worked for many years at the National Store and Sears in Gallatin. Wanda was a wonderful wife, mother, and nana.
