Obituary of Patricia H. Finley

Patricia Mae Finley moved into her eternal home on November 17, 2021. Patsy was born in Richmond Virginia, August 1, 1933. She was the widow of James Newton Finley, Sr. and the daughter of Ida Mae and Roy Kenneth Harris, Sr. Patsy was a beloved member of St. Phillips Episcopal church. She loved to crochet, do needle work, and make beautiful quilts that she shared with her family, friends, and her church. She was an avid tennis player, ball room dancer and avid Commodores fan. She is preceded in death by her daughter Deborah Ruth Finley. She is survived by her children James Newton Finley Jr. of Nashville Tn, and Kenneth Harris Finley Sr. (Julie) of Spartanburg SC.; her precious grandchildren, Joshua Ross Finley of San Diego, California, Jill Jackson (Steven) of Covington, LA, Madison Finley Beamguard (Chris) of Charlotte, NC, Kenneth Harris Finley, Jr. of Spartanburg, SC, and Julia Katherine Finley of Spartanburg SC; her beloved great grandchildren Landon Finley, Jonathan Maxey, and Jake Maxey; her beloved brother Roy Harris of Denver, Colorado, her sister-in-law Nancy Vaughan (David) of Tampa, Florida, and her brother-in-law Bob Finley (Kathy) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. A memorial service will be held at St Philip’s episcopal church, 85 Fairway Dr. Nashville, TN 37214, December 4th, 2021, at 1 pm. It will be officiated by Reverend Vickie Burgess and Reverend Richard Wineland. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Face coverings are required. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Philip’s Episcopal church.
