Obituary of Brad Gibbs

Brad Gibbs passed away on January 1, 2022 at age 58. The Celebration of Life is 3 p.m. Sunday, January 9, 2022 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home 4-8 p.m. Saturday, January 8, 2022.

William Bradford Gibbs was born in Lebanon TN to Betty Bradford Gibbs and William Hester Gibbs. He graduated from Lebanon High School and graduated from Tennessee State University University with a B.S. Degree in Agriculture Science, Concentation in Agronomy. He was a member of the Church of God, He also worked in plant, soil, and entomology as a lab assistant for TSU, and soil tech, testing, mapping, and soil depth for Crocket Surveying. He worked as an equipment operator, and foreman supervising a crew of 5 concrete finishers in West Palm Beach FL. Back in Lebanon, he worked in maintenance for Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He enjoyed coon hunting, farming, and being with his family. Brad is survived by daughters Heather (Jacob) Vanatta and Brandi Gibbs, father Hester (Eleanor) Gibbs, mother Betty (Ron) Wickensimer, grandchildren Lexi Vanatta, Adley Vanatta, and Jake Vanatta, sister Marsha (Jeff) Nevils, and niece and nephew Cody (Haley) Nevils and Kelsey Nevils. He is preceded in death by grandparents Arthur Thomas Gibbs, Betsy Serina Gibbs, Otsy Lee Bradford McCaslin, and Charles Bell Bradford. Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN, 615.444.9393.
