Obituary of Robert Wall Scott

Robert Wall Scott, age 80 of Gallatin, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022.  Funeral Service will be Saturday, January 15th at 10:30 a.m. at First United Methodist Church.  Visitation will be Saturday, January 15th from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:30 a.m. at the church.  Entombment will follow the service at Sumner Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, with Rob Scott, Caleb Revill, Ronnie Daughtry, Charlie Massey, Chris O’Neill, Andrew Ditmore, John Preston O’Neill, and Brady Scott serving as pallbearers.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church.

Mr. Scott was born February 2, 1941 in Dickson County to the late Robert Franklin Scott and Edith Estelle Wall Scott.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Jeanetta Gound Scott.  He is survived by children, Karen Daughtry (Ronnie) of Gallatin, Beth Massey (Charlie) of Nashville, Rob Scott (Emily) of Roanoke, VA, and Rachel O’Neill (Chris) of Hendersonville; sister, Gayle Knickerbocker (Jerry) of Clarksville; brothers, Harry Scott (Carolyn) of Indiana and David Scott (Mary) of Franklin; 10 grandchildren, Kaitlin Warner (Derek), Erin McCarroll (David), Allison Henson (Josh), Caleb Revill, Andrew Ditmore, Ashley Ditmore, Brady Scott, Emma Kate O’Neill, Macy O’Neill, and John Preston O’Neill; and 1 great grandchild, Harper Warner.  Mr. Scott was a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and remained a Vol Fan for life.  He was a member of First United Methodist Church.  He was in the Kiwanis Club and served with the Boy Scouts of America, winning the Silver Beaver Honor in 1986.  Mr. Scott retired from Eaton Corporation after over 28 years of service.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.
