Obituary of Dorothy Palmer Ferrell

Dorothy Palmer Ferrell, age 97 of Gallatin, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022.  Funeral Service will be Friday, January 21st at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home.  Visitation will be Friday, January 21st from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m.  Interment will follow the service at Gallatin Cemetery, with Ferrell Smith, Pete Moran, Ferrell Haile, and Paul Roberson serving as pallbearers.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gallatin First United Methodist Church, 149 West Main Street, Gallatin, TN  37066 or Gallatin CARES, 330 North Durham Avenue, Gallatin, TN  37066.

Mrs. Ferrell was born September 16, 1924 in Sumner County to the late George Palmer and Lillian Burnett Palmer.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Isaac W. Ferrell; brothers, George Palmer and Duke Palmer; sisters, Virginia Shapiro and Christine Bradley.  She is survived by daughter, Peggy Smith (Ronnie) of Gallatin; sister, Erma Harville of Texas; and 2 grandchildren, Ferrell Smith and Maggie Moran (Pete).  The family would like to give special thanks to the employees of Gallatin Center for Rehabilitation and Healing for the care they have given.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.  Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored to assist the family.
