Obituary of Willie J. "Preacher" Blankenship

Mr. Willie J. “Preacher” Blankenship, age 80, of Lafayette, Tennessee, passed away Monday, January 31, 2022, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral services for Mr. Preacher Blankenship are scheduled to be conducted on Friday, February 4, 2022 at 1 PM, from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Reverend Landy Presley and Reverend Todd O’Hair officiating. Interment will follow in the Cold Springs Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will begin at the funeral home on Thursday, February 3, 2022, from 10 AM until 9 PM, and on Friday, from 9 AM until service time 1 PM.

Family suggests memorial contributions be made to Cold Springs Cemetery, Shriner’s Hospital, St. Jude’s, or The Lion’s Club.  

Mr. Willie J. “Preacher” Blankenship was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Earl Blankenship and Dollie Mae Whittemore Blankenship; and grandparents, Fountain Clem Whittemore and Vexie Vella Fishburn Whittemore, and Birgy Blankenship and Modie Harper Blankenship.
