Obituary of Margaret Ann Garrett

GARRETT, Margaret Ann, age 86 of Hermitage passed  away February 5, 2022. She was a long-time member of Hermitage United Methodist Church and the Anti-Can’t Sunday School Class. An avid reader who loved to quilt, knit and handwork, she served in the Upper Room Prayer Ministry for 15 years and served as an Alive Hospice volunteer. Ms Margaret did not like winter. She liked everything to be alive and happy, Spring & Summer. She enjoyed summer and boating most. She shared her faith in Jesus Christ. She hated meetings and long faces, but liked to see people smile and loved to do things for others. She loved to see people happy, loved and in love.

Ms. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Jerald Garrett; parents, Jesse Carl & Cecilia Cox; sisters, Viola Stilwell and Ginny Farris; and an infant brother. She is survived by daughter, Connie (Jim) Childress; sons, Jeff (Judith) Garrett and Jay Garrett; grandchildren, Ian Garrett and Sarah Childress; great-grandchild, Iris Garrett; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, February 18th at 10:30 am at Hermitage United Methodist Church.
