Obituary of Bonnie Alexander Cornell

Bonnie Alexander Cornell, age 99 of Gallatin, passed away Monday, February 28, 2022.  Funeral Service will be Thursday, March 3^rd at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home.  Visitation will be Thursday, March 3^rd from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.  Interment will follow the service at Crestview Memory Gardens, with Greg Alverides, Shane Stokes, Nathan Stokes, Brian Stamps, Billy Balturshot, and Jeff Cooper serving as pallbearers.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Homebound Ministry, P.O. Box 369, Gallatin, TN  37066.

Mrs. Cornell was born September 13, 1922 in Pleasant Shade, TN to the late Charles Alexander and Martha Susan Beasley Alexander.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Johnny Cornell; brother, Rufus Alexander; and sisters, Pauline Armor and Maurice Reed.  She is survived by daughters, Lucretia Baskin of Gallatin and Patsy Kirst of Gallatin; step-daughters, Jana Alverides (Greg) of Murfreesboro and Jennifer Fowler (Art) of Jackson, TN; 6 grandchildren, Shane Stokes (Sandy), Charlotte Balturshot (Billy), Amanda Baskin, Brian Stamps, Chelsea Liddle (Justin), and Nick Alverides (Katherine); and 8 great grandchildren, Nathan Stokes, Jared Stokes, Bella Balturshot, Brynn Balturshot, Will Balturshot, Tristan Liddle, Alex Alverides, and Sofia Alverides.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.  Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored to assist the family.
