Obituary of Jimmy Anderson

Jimmy Anderson, age 80 of Gallatin, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022.  Funeral Service will be Tuesday, March 15th at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Bro. Larry Treadway officiating.  Visitation will be Monday, March 14th from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday, March 15th from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.  Interment will follow the service at Dixon Springs Cemetery, with Cody Franklin, Austin Hensley, Matthew Chandler, Blake Hunter, Bruce Wimberly, and Scott Jackson serving as pallbearers.

Mr. Anderson was born December 30, 1941 in Smith County to the late Odell Anderson and Ruth Townes Anderson.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, J. W. Anderson; and son-in-law, Teddy Barnett.  He is survived by wife of 56 years, Jan Trice Anderson of Gallatin; children, Tammy Barnett of Erwin, TN, Leigh Anderson of Gallatin, and Chad Anderson of Gallatin; grandchildren, Tiffany Story (Jeff), Trey McCullough, Cody Franklin (Shayla), and Matthew Chandler; and great grandchildren, Dawson Gambrell, Austin Hensley, Destiny Hensley, Haven Helmintoller, and Morris “Mo Mo” Franklin.  Jimmy moved to Bethpage at a young age with his parents.  He was a member of the former Whosoever Will Church.  Mr. Anderson worked for Gates Rubber Company, CEMC, and was a truck driver for Yellow Freight.  Jimmy loved fishing and hunting, but his greatest love was his wife, children, and family.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.  Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored to assist the family.
