Mr. Paul Wetzel Harper, age 81, of Westmoreland, TN, passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022 in Westmoreland, TN. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 from 9:00 AM to funeral service time. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 26th at 11:00 AM with Rev. Johnny Hayes presiding and burial to follow in Mount Olive Cemetery in Westmoreland, TN. Paul was born on April 12, 1940 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Marion Madison Harper and the late Charlotte K. Braselton. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Virginia Harper; 7 children, Tim Harper (Chelsea) of Westmoreland, TN, Dwayne Paul Harper (Regina) of Castilian Springs, TN; Frank Harper of Madison, IN, Bobbi Jo Harper of Madison, IN, Robert Napier of Columbus, IN, William Napier of Columbus, IN and Kimberly Parrish of Portland, TN; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 1 sister, Gloria Weiss of Arlington, SD. Paul attended Mount Olive Methodist Church in Westmoreland, TN. He was a self-employed diesel mechanic and owned and operated Harper Truck Repair. In his earlier years, Paul enjoyed rodeoing.
