Obituary of William Prentice Bowen

Mr. William Prentice Bowen, age 82 of Portland, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at his residence. Mr. Bowen was born on May 15, 1939 in Rutherford County, Tennessee to the late Joe and Cinnie Tittle Bowen. Mr. Bowen is survived by his daughter, Lisa (Brian) Bowers; grandchildren, Chris Bowen, Hannah Bowers and Nicole Chandler; great-grandchildren, Kaleb Bowen, Ruby Ann Bowen and Christian Davies. Along with his parents, Prentice was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Ann Hardin Bowen; brother, Joe Thomas Bowen; son, William Tracy Bowen; infant son, Stephen Prentice Bowen. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 22nd at 2 PM from the chapel at Gilbert Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Bowers officiating. Interment will follow the service at Maple Hill Cemetery with Tony Hardin, Michael Hardin, Terry Bucy, Brian Bowers, Chris Bowen, Jake Farmer, and Kevin Kepley serving as pallbearers. Christian Davies, J.C. Morris, and Kaleb Bowen serving as honorary pallbearers.
