Terry and I first met at church in Danville, IL. We struck it off right away. We spent a lot of time together and after getting my drivers license would cruise Danville at nights. Starting at the Northside Steak & Shake going south through town, turning left at the square onto Main St. continuing on to The Eastside Steak & Shake and back to the Northside. We did that a few times before we decided to search out something else.
On Sunday evenings after church service we would go to the Stock Car races by the Interstate and river. We did a lot of silly (and fun) things during our time in high school.
Our paths went different ways after high school. He started a job and sometimes I would pick him after he got off work at 10pm.
I went to the Army and I don't remember exactly when but he joined the Air Force and after 4 years came home and later decided to join the Army.
He went to Freed-Hardeman College in Henderson, TN and stayed in TN after getting out of school and getting married.
We had many good times and still considered each other "best friends".
You will be missed Terry. Dave
