Obituary of Mildred Cornwell

Mildred Cornwell, age 61 of Gallatin, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2022.  Funeral Service will be Thursday, April 21st in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Bro. Jerry Peace officiating.  Visitation will be Wednesday, April 20th from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Thursday, April 21st from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will follow the service at Crestview Memory Gardens, with Austin Cornwell, D. J. Pope, Scott Gish, Mathew Cornwell, Bradley Gross, Robert Biggers, and Rick Cornwell serving as pallbearers.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Friends of the Gallatin Public Library, 123 East Main Street, Gallatin, TN  37066.

Mrs. Cornwell was born October 3, 1960 in Macon County to the late Ray Walton Herald and Elsie Mauden Herald.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by sister, Patsy Jean Law.  She is survived by husband of 38 years, Gary Cornwell of Gallatin; step-son, Bobby Dale Cornwell (Andrea) of Iowa; brother, Bennie Ray Herald of Westmoreland; sisters, Anna Fay Hawkins of Westmoreland, Dale Stinson (Royce) of Lafayette, and Kathy Gross (Larry) of Westmoreland; 2 grandchildren, Austin Cornwell and Janie Bond (Jordan); and 3 great grandchildren, Gunner Bond, Hazel Bond, and Carson Cornwell.  Mrs. Cornwell worked at the Gallatin Public Library for many years and owned a floral shop called “Mildred’s Florist”.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.  Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored to assist the family.
