Obituary of Donna Virginia Wetzel

Donna Virginia Wetzel, age 77 of Gallatin, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2022.  Funeral Service will be Saturday, July 9th at 11:00 a.m. at Forrest Chapel Free Methodist Church, 130 Forrest Chapel Road, Westmoreland, TN  37186, with John Patterson and Ron Wright officiating.  Visitation will be Saturday, July 9th at the church from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will follow the service at Forrest Chapel Free Methodist Cemetery, 150 Forrest Chapel Road, Westmoreland, TN  37186.  Donations may be made to Real Grace of Gallatin and Jolliet United Methodist Church through www.paypal.me/traviswetzelmusic.

Mrs. Wetzel was born December 24, 1944 in Keffers, PA to the late Charles Kimmel and Anna Kimmel.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Lamar Irvin Wetzel; brothers, Wilbur Kimmel, Charles Kimmel, George Kimmel, David Kimmel, and Leslie Kimmel; and sister, Alma Kimmel Moultrie.  She is survived by son Travis Wetzel of Gallatin.  She is a life-time member of the Joliett First United Methodist Church in Pennsylvania, where her grandfather helped dig the foundation for the church in 1907.  Donna studied to be a minister and accounting at Ursinus College in Collegeville, PA.  She was an accountant for L. Frank Markel & Son in Black Horse, PA from 1966 – 1969.  Most of all, she was the best mom a son could have had.   Her son, Travis, ministers’ music at the church, making his mother very proud.   Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.  Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin has been honored to assist the family.
