Obituary of Dr. Bobby Reed Jackson

Dr. Bobby Reed Jackson, age 87 of Gallatin, passed away Monday, July 4, 2022.  Funeral Service will be Saturday, July 9th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin.  Visitation will be Friday, July 8th from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, July 9th from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will be Monday, July 11th at 11:00 a.m. at Crestview Memory Gardens, with Clint Jackson, Tyler Scott, James Jackson Graham, Bobby Jackson, Cam MacLean, Kirk Neubauer, K P Price, and Dustin Long serving as pallbearers.   Honorary pallbearers are Bob Easton, Hector Martinez, Rick Banning, Charley Weaver, John Sherell, and Jim Maxwell.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Feed Sumner Food Bank and Ministry, 1121 Gregory Drive, Gallatin, TN  37066, or to Veranda Ministries, Inc., 650 Nashville Pike #7A, Gallatin, TN  37066.

Dr. Jackson was born November 13, 1934 in Tompkinsville, KY to the late Bethel Oliver Jackson, Sr. and Gladys Butler Jackson.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters, Adilene Jackson Shirley, Ruth Evelyn Jackson Montell, and Elaine Jackson; and brother, Bethel Oliver “BO” Jackson, Jr.  He is survived by wife of 68 years, Mary Faith Ellis Jackson of Gallatin; son, Dr. Dan Jackson (Chryl) of Gallatin; daughters, Bobbie Faith Jackson Ramsey (James Robert) of Gallatin, Angela Jackson Buss (Larry) of Texas, and Marietta Jackson Dorris (Elba) of Gallatin; grandchildren, Christina Faith Ramsey MacLean (Cam), Kendra Grace Ramsey Jackson (Bobby), Annette Marie Jackson Neubauer (Kirk), Clint Reed Jackson, Tyler Scott (Jenna), Candace Yarotsky Price (Kevin “KP”), Christan Yarotsky Wesolick, Cynthia Yarotsky Long (Dustin), Whitney Marie Graham, James Jackson Graham; and great grandchildren, Kenneth Cade MacLean, James Connor Maclean, Kolby Faith Jackson, Robert Ramsey Jackson, Raygen Love Wesolick, Kevin Michael Price, Brooks Joseph Price, Dakota Grace Long, Jace Reed Long, Jax Oliver Neubauer, Micah Jane Neubauer, and Bodie Clark Neubauer.  Dr. B. R. Jackson graduated from National Chiropractic College with a Doctorate Degree in Chiropractic.  He practiced chiropractic for 41 years and he served on the Governor’s Board of Chiropractic Examiners for 8 years.  He also was a “ChiroVet” and studied under Dr. Robert H. Hathoway of Oakland, CA.  Dr. Jackson was a member of First Baptist Church Hendersonville, TN.  Dr. Jackson was a founding of the Middle Tennessee Tres Dias.  He served in over 50 Tres Dias weekends to serve Christ Our Lord Jesus.  He was a member of Gallatin’s Lions Club for years, a Mason, and a 50 year member of the King Solomon No. 6 of Gallatin, TN.  Dr. Jackson served in the National Guard.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.   Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin has been honored to assist the family.
