Mrs. Hackett was born March 9, 1938 in Carthage to the late Elder Willard Frank McDonald and Virginia Frances Thompson McDonald.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by the love of her life, husband of 65 years, Elder Kenneth Paul Hackett; brothers, Elder Bill McDonald and Guy McDonald; and son-in-law, Elder Russell Dunn.  She is survived by daughters, Lynda Faith Hall (John) of Gallatin, Connie Dunn of Gallatin, and Laura Gregory of Gallatin; brother, Jimmy McDonald (Carol) of Hendersonville; sister, Jean McDonald Dyer (Colin) of Nashville; sister-in-law, Barbara McDonald of Chattanooga; 7 grandchildren, Kristina Conyer (John), Elder Joshua Gregory (Merritt), Angela Crews (Adam), Jessica Bradley (Elder Robert), Daniel Gregory, Carissa Dunn, and Jonathan Dunn; and 11 great grandchildren, Landon  Conyer, Finnley Conyer, Titus Conyer, Aidan Crews, Luke Crews, Jacob Crews, Abigail Bradley, Eleanor Bradley, William Bradley, Matthew Robert Bradley, and Mary Grace Gregory.

Sister Linda McDonald Hackett, “Nani” as she was known to her seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; was saved when she was a ten-year old little girl in Nashville.  She was raised in a Godly, loving home and picked up so many of her gentle mannerisms from her own mother. Linda married her husband, Elder Kenneth Paul Hackett, when she was sixteen. Together they raised three beautiful daughters that love the Lord and have taught their children to do the same. Linda was the epitome of a true Lady, a Proverbs 31 woman, a doting wife for sixty-five years. She was a gentle, precious woman of God who loved her family and those around her. She found joy making the house, wherever the family lived, into a home and keeping it to the Glory of God and to honor her family and her husband. Whether entertaining, making meals, raising children, being a wife, going to church, and praising her Heavenly Father; and being that loving Proverbs 31 woman, came naturally to Linda. She poured out love from the Lord, who saved her when she was just a little girl so effortlessly. Always putting God first, and loving without hesitation, Linda's family and those who knew her had such a role model before them. Being a sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, mother-in-law - whatever role she took on, the Lord was first. Because He was first, all else fell into place. Linda McDonald Hackett “Nani“,  her legacy speaks for itself.  And we, her family and loved ones, we rise up and call her blessed.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.
