Obituary of Floyd "Eugene" Whitson

Mr. Floyd “Eugene” Whitson, age 63 of Gallatin, Tennessee passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022 at his residence. Eugene was born on January 22, 1959 in Portland, Tennessee to the late Floyd and Virginia Petty Whitson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Barbara Trapp-Whitson; children, Jennifer Nealy, William (Marissa) Whitson, Nicholas (Katelyn) Webb, and Alicshea (JW) Webb; son-in-law, Shandler Concepcion; grandchildren, Shandler Concepcion, Vanessa Hackney, Ricky Nealy, Zackary Nealy, Summer Kitchens, Quentin Kitchens, Dalton Emmitt, Cheyanna Thompson, Caylinne Webb, Candis Webb, and Marcus Webb; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Edith Kuhn, Eva (Leon) Pippin, and Trish Sluti.

Along with his parents, Eugene was preceded in death by daughter, Candis Concepcion; sisters, Barbara Fishburn, Dorothy Seay, and Linda Bolton.

Visitation with the family will be Monday, July 18^th from 3:00-7:00 PM at Sellars Family Heritage at Portland.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests donations towards the funeral expense.
