Obituary of Shirley Crook

Shirley Crook, age 53 of Gallatin, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022.  Funeral Service will be Tuesday, August 2nd at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin, with Bro. Dennis Smith officiating.  Visitation will be Tuesday, August 2nd from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will follow the service at Sumner Memorial Gardens, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.  

Mrs. Crook was born February 26, 1969 in Maywood, IL to the late Wade Baskerville and Mary Frances Deering Baskerville.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by sisters, Carolyn “Trixie” West and Patricia Stewart; and nephew, Troy West.  She is survived by husband of 19 years, William “Billy” Crook of Gallatin; sons, Austin Kemp (Katie Norris) of Castalian Springs and Jesse Crook of Gallatin; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Hemard (Scott Shepherd) of Indiana and Melody Crook of Cottontown; nieces, Ashley West (Dell Inman) of Gallatin and Pamela Lee (Jamie) of Gallatin; nephew Dougie Kirkham (Jennifer) of Gallatin; great nieces, Savannah Smith (Brandon) of Gallatin, Sidney Daugherty (Nathan), and Candance Dorris; great-great-nieces, Harley Rose Kirkham and Cheyenne Dorris; and great nephews, Caden West, Bryan Schoonover, and Brandon Dixon; great-great-nephews, Easton Smith, Tommy Dell, and Beau Dorris.  Mrs. Crook was the owner of the Smokehouse Restaurant for 40 years.  She loved working concessions in the baseball park.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.
