Obituary of Arthur John Brandt

BRANDT, Arthur John, age 84 of Mt. Juliet passed away on August 19, 2022. Art was employed with General Motors for 41 years. He loved travelling to National Parks and family vacations to the mountains and beach. Golfing and bowling as well as playing catch with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren were some of his favorite pastimes. Art, affectionately known as “Opa”, had a collection of Lionel trains that had been accumulated over 4 generations.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Matthias and Edna Brandt; and his first wife, Heidi Brandt. He is survived by his wife, Gwynne Brandt; sons, Duane Brandt and Doug (Jean) Brandt; stepchildren, Randy (Kim) Hubbard, Nathan (Tonya) Hubbard, Brian (Sarah) Hubbard and Aaron (Liz) Hubbard; sister, Cheryl (Bob) Duda; grandchildren, Jaysen (Allie) Brandt, Eric (Robin) Brandt, Melissa (Zach) Hallman, Danny (Annie) Brandt, Jarod Hubbard, Ethan Hubbard, Connor Hubbard, Noah Hubbard, Kayleigh Hubbard, Eliah Hubbard, and Hannah Hubbard; great-grandchildren, Charles, Maximus, Liliana, Izzy, Millie, George, Emma, and Theo.

The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, August 21^st at 2pm at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Pastor Mark Youngman officiating. The Visitation will also be held on Sunday, August 21^st from 1pm until time of service at 2pm.
