Obituary of Linnie Mai Gillihan

Mrs. Linnie Mai Gillihan, age 83 of Lafayette, TN passed away Sunday morning, September 4, 2022 at her home. She was born September 24, 1938 the eldest of three children to Noel “Monk” and Pauline White Scruggs.  She was saved as a young girl and joined Dixon Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by:  Parents, Noel “Monk” Scruggs & Pauline White Scruggs; Husband, Bobby Gillihan; Daughter, Shelia Ann Gillihan; Grandson, Michael York and Second Husband, Ben Hamlet.

Survived by:  Daughter, Janice (Clifton) York-Lafayette, TN; Grandson, Terry (Debbie) York-Jacksonville, FL; 3 Great Grandchildren, Phenix, Damian & Urijah York; Sister, Cora Jane (Roland) Chandler-Hartsville, TN; Brother, Billy Joe Scruggs-Hartsville, TN; Caregiver, Charlotte Keen-Westmoreland, TN and Host of Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Anthony Funeral Home at 2 PM Tuesday, September 6, 2022 conducted by Eld. Joe Porter. Interment will be in the Dixon Springs Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 10 AM to Service Tuesday.
