Obituary of David Allen Collins

David Allen Collins, age 59 of Gallatin, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2022.  Gathering of Friends will be Friday, September 30^th at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Station Camp High School Music Program, 1040 Bison Trail, Gallatin, TN  37066.

Mr. Collins was born May 7, 1963 in Paducah, KY to the late Charles Collins and Lois York Collins.  He is survived by sisters, Karen Stephens of Calvert City, KY, Debbie Harper of Benton, KY, and Sandye Miller of Benton, KY; brother, Wayne Collins of Mayfield, KY; and several nieces and nephews.  Mr. Collins was a school teacher with the Sumner County Board of Education for over 20 years, teaching at Howard Elementary, Gallatin High School, and Station Camp High School.   In addition, he was a piano teacher and sang opera at New York’s Carnegie Hall and the Metropolitan Opera House.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.  Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin has been honored to assist the family.
