Obituary of Jean Rittenberry

Jean Rittenberry, age 81 of Gallatin passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2022.  Funeral Service will be Friday, November 11^th at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin, with Pastor Todd Alexander officiating.  Visitation will be Thursday, November 10^th from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Friday, November 11^th from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow the service at Sumner Memorial Gardens, with Butch Groves, Kaleb Barnett, Larry Moore, Joe Rittenberry, Tommy Rittenberry, and Mark Webb.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to House of Grace Assembly of God, 600 Lock 4 Road, Gallatin, TN  37066.

Mrs. Rittenberry was born February 12, 1941 in Sumner County to the late Harris Herbert Durham and Christine E. Thurman Durham.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, James “Bud” Rittenberry; son, Stephen DeWayne Deering;  sister, Thelma Darnell, and brother, Bobby Harris Durham.  She is survived by son, Mike Deering (Tina) of Gallatin; sister, Wanda Mann of Virginia; grandchildren, Tori Watson and Miranda Bugg (Kaleb Barnett); and great grandchildren, Novaleigh Barnett and Hadlee Barnett.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.
