Obituary of Nancy Ophelia Gann

Nancy Ophelia Gann, age 79 of Gallatin, passed away Monday, November 14, 2022.  Funeral Service will be Friday, November 18th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin, with Tim Singleton and Grant Carey officiating.  Visitation will be Thursday, November 17th from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Friday, November 18th from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will follow the service at Crestview Memory Gardens, with Jay Arwood, Danny Rippy, Wayne Martin, Jerry Blair, Chuck Carter, and Steve Woodard serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. Gann was born September 19, 1943 in Hendersonville to the late Owen Bates and Maggie Ethel Stafford Bates.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Levy K. Gann; and daughter, Tena Johnson.  She is survived by sons, Mike O. Gann (Rebecca) of Gallatin and Glenn N. Gann (Kimberly) of Gallatin; sister, Katherine Martin of Hendersonville; 9 grandchildren, Hannah C. Gann, Noah J. Gann, Aaron B. Johnson, Nevaeh R. Gann, Sarah M. Buell, Jay Arwood, Harley Arwood, Hope Hudson, and Troy Johnson; and 6 great grandchildren, Jordan Dice, Liberty Dice, Dylan Hartman, Bella Hartman, Bexley E. Johnson, and Boston Johnson.  Mrs. Gann worked for Sam Davis Lumber Company as a bookkeeper for 20 years.  After that she volunteered at the state forestry service with her husband.  She loved working with genealogy.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.
