Obituary of Betty Whited

Betty Whited, age 86, of Lebanon, passed away on November 25, 2022. The Funeral Service, conducted by Reverend Gary Wilson, is 2 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2022 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN. Interment in Wilson County Memorial will follow the service. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10 a.m. until the service at 2 p.m.

               Betty Ann Whited was born in Jackson County TN to Georgie Estelle Dixon and Simon Holmes. She loved working in the yard, growing and tending her flowers and vegetables. She enjoyed fiddling around with her home furnishings and decorations, always trying to make her home more beautiful and inviting. Betty loved her Christmas decorations too. She also enjoyed sewing children’s clothes.

               Mrs. Whited was a member of the Lebanon First Church of the Nazarene. She had worked at Precision Rubber in Lebanon.

               Mrs. Whited is survived by her children: Anthony Gene Whited, Randall Wayne (Suzy) Whited, Kathy Whited, and Stephanie (Donald) Patton; siblings: Estelle (Jimmy D.) Harp, Nancy (Robbie) Harp, Mary (Albert) Colwell, Nora (Jeff) Parker, Judy (Jimmy) Lynch, and Linda (Norman) Webb; grandchildren: Joshua (Daley) Frazee, Jonathan Frazee, Seth (Samantha) Whited, Rachel (Matt) Sharber, Lindsey Johnson and Cody, Christopher Patton, David Malone, Paul Eugene, and Betty Marie; great-grandchildren: Dani Kate, Mila, Luka Gene, Laykin, Laycee, Logan, Kristan, Kenna, Colton, Carson, Kyleigh, and Hadley; and grand-dogs: Lexi and Buddy. She is preceded in death by husband Doyle Eugene Whited, grandson Jeremy Snodgrass, parents Georgie and Casper Holmes, sisters Ruth McClure, Mamie Marie McMahon, Sadie Irene Holmes, and Sue Baines, and brothers Sammy Holmes, Herbert Juvy, James Darrell, Mack Howard, and Herman Holmes.
