Obituary of Geraldine Deckard Blankenship

Ms. Geraldine Deckard Blankenship, age 91, of Lafayette, passed away Friday, December 2, 2022, at Signature of Monroe County. Funeral Services for Geraldine Blankenship are scheduled to be conducted on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at 2 PM, from The Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Dale Strong officiating. Interment will follow in Scott Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will begin at the funeral home on Sunday, December 4, 2022, from 9 AM until service time at 2 PM.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie R. Blankenship; parents, Perry Deckard and Elizabeth Borden Deckard; sister, Golda Turner; brothers, James W. Deckard and George P. Deckard; and son-in-law, Mike Bell.
