Obituary of Marilyn Elaine Shuck

Marilyn Elaine Shuck, age 69, of Mount Juliet, has gone home to her Heavenly Father on December 13, 2022, after a long illness. She was born on October 5, 1953, in Tipton, Indiana to Merlin Eugene Shuck and Marietta Williams Shuck. She was their second child, joining older brother Mike and followed the next year by younger sister Diana.

Marilyn was a special education and hospital and homebound teacher for many years with the Metro Nashville School System. She encouraged her students, and they loved her. She was the perfect definition of creativity and dedication in her teaching career. She was a member of the Church of Latter-Day Saints and enjoyed leading the Young Women and visiting those members whose health did not permit them to attend services.

Marilyn loved people and as her father was a veterinarian, she developed a strong affection for all animals. She was a wonderful sister and friend and an inspiration during her illness. The family thanks all the doctors, nurses and hospice workers who cared for her.

Both of her parents predeceased her. She is survived by her brother Michael Eugene Shuck (wife Sheron) and her sister Diana Doreen Shuck. Her children are Ann Marie Shuck and Adam Michael Vichitvongsa Shuck and grandchildren are Arianna and Aaliyah.
