Obituary of Irene Cothron

Irene Cothron, age 95 of Westmoreland, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2022.  Funeral Service will be Friday, December 30^th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin, with Bro. Doyle Farris officiating.  Visitation will be Friday, December 30^th from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will follow the service at Crestview Memory Gardens, with grandsons serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. Cothron was born April 22, 1927 in Gallatin to the late John Bohanon and Lucy Viola Newman Bohanon. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Donald Lewis Cothron; 1 great grandson; brothers, John Bohanon and Holbert Bohanon; and sisters, Maude Suttle, Katherine Moss, Josephine Draper, Emogene Williams, Gladys Pugh, Alice Bohanon, and Myrtle Smith.  She is survived by son, Henry “Leon” Cothron (Wanda) of Gallatin; daughters, Linda Rene of Gallatin, Jody Lovely (Michael) of Gallatin, and Tammy Suter (Bryan) of Greenbrier; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.  She and her husband were owners of Cothron’s Grocery and Don’s Market in Turner Station, Bransford, and Oak Grove for over 30 years.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.
