Obituary of Viola May Freeman

Mrs. Viola May Freeman, age 97 of Portland, Tennessee passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023 at Oak Hill Senior Living in Portland, Tennessee. Viola was born on May 2, 1925 in Waynesboro, Tennessee to the late Milas and Annie Belle Davis.

Viola is survived by her children, Dorris Stinson, Carl (Elaine) Freeman, and Carol (Jimmy) Pardue; grandchildren, Lincoln Stinson, Kristopher (Jennifer) Freeman, Corey (Connie) Freeman, Dawn (Ray) Crowder, Ty (Katie) Black, and Victoria (Cory) Denning; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Murlin D. Freeman; brother, Milas Davis; sisters, Sally McWilliams and Lula Belle Hardin.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 5th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Portland with Bobby Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow the service at Restlawn Memory Gardens with Lincoln Stinson, Kristopher Freeman, Corey Freeman, Thomas Thompson, Connor Freeman, and Noah Freeman serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, January 4th from 1:00-8:00 PM and Thursday, January 5^th from 10:00 AM until time of service at 2:00 PM.
