Obituary of Gladys Marie Owen

OWEN, Gladys “Sissy” Marie (Ward), age 79 of Hermitage passed away on January 6, 2023.

Gladys was an amazing woman who will be dearly missed by many. She loved quilts, lamps, and antiquing. Gladys enjoyed watching NASCAR and planting tomatoes, but most of all loved her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Mora Ward; sister-in-law, Mavis Ward; and brother-in-law, Jimmy Owen. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Charles Owen; siblings, John (Linda) Ward and Dean Ward; nephews, Kevin (Lezlee) Owen, Harold (Sharon) Ward, Michael Ward, and J.T (Alecia) Ward; nieces, Sherry (Brian) Murray and Christy (Tom) Millsaps; sister-in-law, Ruth Owen; numerous great nieces and great nephews; and good neighbors, Raymond Davis and Robert (Camille) Rodrick.

The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 9^th at 2pm at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet. The Visitation will also be held on Monday, January 9^th from 12pm until time of service at 2pm. The Interment will follow the service at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens.
