Obituary of James David Mackey

Mr. James “Jim” David Mackey, age 89 of Five Points formerly Portland, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at his residence. Mr. Mackey was born on September 20, 1933 in Livermore, Kentucky to the late Charles and Fannie Mackey

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Carroll Mackey; infant son, James David Mackey, Jr.; brother, Frank Ashley Mackey; sisters, Elizabeth Josephine Seaborn and Lilian Lorene Mackey.

Mr. Mackey is survived by his children, Lisa Mackey, James David Mackey, III, Linda (Derek) Groton, Charles (Kim) Mackey, and Sharon (Doug) Hast; 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Sunday, January 15^th at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Portland with Pastor Alan Fyke officiating. Interment will follow the service at Fairfield Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, January 14^th from 4:00-8:00 PM and Sunday, January 15^th from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM.
