Obituary of Janice Lee Shrum

Janice Lee Shrum, age 74 of Gallatin, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2023.  Funeral Service will be Saturday, January 14th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin.  Visitation will be Friday, January 13th from 1:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, January 14th from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will follow the service at Sumner Memorial Gardens, with K. J. Kitchens, John White, Devin Shrum, David Tenpenny, Ronnie Reecer, and Bennie Wells serving as pallbearers.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Macon County Community Advisory Board, 1020 Scottsville Road, Lafayette, TN  37083.

Mrs. Shrum was born January 20, 1948 to the late Maynard Crowder and Elsie Swallows Crowder.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brother, Earl Crowder; and in laws, James Shrum and Alice Shrum.  She is survived by husband of 57 years, James Shrum of Gallatin; son, James Christopher Shrum (Melissa) of Lafayette; brothers, Thomas L. Crowder (Judy) of Bethpage, Jerry W. Crowder of Gallatin, Ronnie Crowder (Jennifer) of Gallatin, and Marty Crowder (Cherie) of Bethpage; sister, Brenda Heinrich of Bethpage; 3 grandchildren, Kayla White (John), Kaleb “K. J.” Kitchens (Rebecca), and Devin Shrum; and great grandchildren, Lincoln White and (on-the-way-) Ezra Kitchens.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.
