Obituary of Katherine "Sue" Dill

Katherine “Sue” Dill, age 87 of Gallatin, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2023.  Funeral Service will be Tuesday, February 14^th at 11:30 in the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin, with Pastor Mike Corbin officiating.  Visitation will be Tuesday, February 14, from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 11:30 a.m.  Following the service there will be a private family graveside service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Starting Strong Ministry at Gallatin First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 369, Gallatin, TN  37066.

Mrs. Dill was born October 28, 1935 in Gallatin to the late H. B. Simpson and Mayzell Hall Simpson.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Robert “Bob” Fulton Dill; brothers, William Simpson and Richard Simpson; and sister, Betty Jo Coleman.  She is survived by daughter, Susan Dill Gilliam (Jeff) of Mt. Juliet; grandchild, Callie Gilliam; brothers, Glenn Simpson (Cathy) of Gallatin, David Simpson of Gallatin, and Larry Simpson of Gallatin; sister, Carol Culbreath of Gallatin; and sisters-in-law, Geneva Simpson of Portland and Frances Simpson of Champaign, IL.  Thanks to HighPoint Hospice, Charter Senior Living, and to Mike Corbin for many acts of love and compassionate care during her illness.   Mrs. Dill was a life-long member of First Baptist Church Gallatin.  She was a volunteer with the First Baptist Homebound Ministry and was very involved as a volunteer in community events.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.  Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin, 100 East Albert Gallatin Avenue, Gallatin, TN  37066 615-452-7115.
