Obituary of Louie Asberry Yeldell, Jr.
Mr. Louie Asberry Yeldell, age 96, of Hendersonville, Tennessee passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Maple Cottage Assisted Living, where he has resided since June 2022. Mr. Yeldell was born in Monroe, Louisiana on March 28, 1926 to the late Louie A. Yeldell and Louise Blanchard Yeldell.
Preceding him in death were his wife of 58 years, Anna Belle Ford Yeldell and sister, Betty Yeldell Bushnell.
Mr. Yeldell is survived by his children, Steven (Nell) Yeldell, Sherry (Mark) Barton, Glenn (Lisa) Yeldell and Jennifer Cowden and by 7 grandchildren and 12 great-granchildren. He is also survived by two nephews, Wayne Bushnell and David Bushnell.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 18th at 1:00 PM at St. Joseph Arimathea Episcopal Church in Hendersonville. Interment of ashes will be at the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Memphis, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests memorial donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, Alzheimers Foundation of America or a charity of choice.
The family extends special thanks to Dr. Raul Couret and the staff at Cumberland Family Practice, Aveanna Home Health and the staff at Maple Cottage.
