Obituary of Charles Edward Owen

OWEN, Charles E., age 81, of Hermitage, passed away on March 6, 2023. Charles was a loving husband to Gladys and a beloved member of the Hermitage community. He installed sound equipment in buildings all over the Mid-South area and even as far away as Iraq. He spent his final years caring for Gladys and was heartbroken at her loss just 2 months ago. He will be missed by his family and friends.

 

Charles was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years, Gladys Owen; parents, Oscar & Pearl Owen; and brother, Jimmy Owen. He is survived by brothers-in-law, John (Linda) Ward and Dean Ward; nephews, Kevin (Lezlee) Owen, Harold (Sharon) Ward, Michael Ward and J. T. (Alecia) Ward; nieces, Sherry (Brian) Murray and Christy (Tom) Millsaps; sister-in-law, Ruth Owen; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and good neighbors, Raymon Davis and Robert Rodrick.

 

Funeral service will be held Friday, March 10th at 2 pm at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Chaplain Jesse Green officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens with Brian Murray, Kevin Owen, Harold Ward, Michael Ward, J. T. Ward and Tom Milsaps serving as pallbearers and honorary pallbearer: Raymon Davis. Visitation with the family will be held Friday, March 10th from 1:00 pm until time of service.
