Mr. Samuel Lee “Big Sam” Ray Sr., age 51 of Hartsville, TN passed away Monday morning, March 13, 2023 at Macon Community Hospital, Lafayette, TN.

Preceded in death by:  Brother, Andy Jones and Sister, Barbara Morrison.

Survived by:  Wife, Melissa Ray-Hartsville, TN;  2 Sons, Sam (Madison) Ray-Hartsville, TN & Cody (Breanna) Todd-Hartsville, TN;  4 Daughters, Andrea (Stacey) Duncan-Gallatin, TN, Kylie (Michael Tolley) Todd-Hartsville, TN, Cassidy Todd-Hartsville, TN and Ali Tucker-Orinda, CA;  3 Grandchildren, Teagan Duncan, Lakelynn Tolley and Kohen Todd;  Father, Roger (Janie) Ray-Hartsville, TN;  Mother, Nancy Johns-Hartsville, TN;  6 Brothers, Timmie (Angie) Ray-Lafayette, TN, Lucas (Jennifer) Ray-Gallatin, TN, Nicholas Ray-Hartsville, TN, Brian Metcalf-Hartsville, TN, Greg (Shontae) Metcalf-Hartsville, TN and Tim (Stephanie) Jones-Lebanon, TN and 2 Sisters, Lisa Hauskins-Lafayette, TN and Kay (Doodle) Brooks-Castalian Springs, TN.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Anthony Funeral Home at 1 PM Thursday, March 16, 2023 Eld. Michael Nesbitt.  Interment will be in the Dixon Springs Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be from 11 AM to 8 PM Wednesday and 10 AM until service time Thursday.
