Obituary of Roger Dean Sidwell

Our community sadly lost an important member, Roger Dean Sidwell, on the evening of March 12, 2023. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones. Roger was born on June 28, 1941 in Deavertown, Ohio. Roger was a devout Christian and devoted his life to serving the Lord and doing mission work locally and abroad.

He and his wife Bettie Sidwell founded Church at the Bus Stop in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, where they fed the homeless and provided fellowship for over 30 years. They passed the torch of their organization to the local ministry, who keeps the program alive today. He will leave a big gap in the local and overseas community and will be sorely missed.
