Velma Reese Tucker
March 19 1918- April 11 2023

Mrs. Tucker was born in Bethpage and lived a full and blessed life until the age of 105. A good and faithful servant. Velma loved her family and her friends at Liberty Baptist church in Gallatin where she was a member.  Mrs. Tucker retired from the Eaton Corporation.
Velma was preceded in death by her husband Lindy Tucker.
Also preceding her in death son Herbert Tucker and step son James Lindy Tucker.
Preceded in death by four brothers Lewis, Dave, Johnny and Jimmy Hines and stepdaughter Hattie Hunt.

Survived by grandson Steve Tucker (Cara) of GA and grandson Casey Tucker (Christy) of Nebraska.
Survived by grandsons Justin and Ronnie Tucker.
Also surviving are Janice Wilson and Donna Newby.
Survived by Daughter in law Carlene Tucker of Portland.
Great grandchildren include Kandis Thomas (Erik) of Gallatin, Skyler Tucker of Portland and Taylor Tucker of Westmoreland and grandson Reese Tucker of Denver Colorado.
Great, great granddaughters are Kora, Kallie, Lucy Thomas.
Surviving nieces Lennie Ann Smith, Reba Hardshoe, Betty Smith, Linda Durham and Pat Cox and surviving nephew Lewis Hines.
Velma leaves behind longtime, special friend Dixie Anglea and beloved neighbor Charlie Goolsby.
The Tucker family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregivers Terri and Mike Graves for their love and compassion in her final weeks of life.

Service at 2 pm. Visitation at noon.

Burial to follow in Sumner memorial gardens.
Pallbearers - Steve Tucker, Casey Tucker, Justin Tucker, Lewis JR Hines, Warren Smith, and James JR Hines.
Honorary pallbearers Frank Gregory and Liberty Baptist Sunday school class.

In lieu of flowers monetary donations may be made to Highpoint Hospice of Gallatin.
