Obituary of Inez Dill

Inez Dill, age 89 of Gallatin, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023.  Funeral Service will be Saturday, April 15^th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin, with Pastor Todd Alexander officiating.  Visitation will be Saturday, April 15^th from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will follow the service at Conatser Cemetery, 120 Davis Road, Lebanon, TN  37087, with Phillip Scruggs, Curtis Scruggs, Kevin Scruggs, Preston Tatum, Caleb Tatum, and Zack McCullough serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. Dill was born February 28, 1934 in Trousdale County to the late Samuel Davis Johnson and Stella Mercer Johnson.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by grandson, Corey R. Gammons; granddaughter, Promise-Marie Harrison; brothers, Finley Johnson, Don Johnson, and Thomas Johnson; and sisters, Louise Spivey, Ruth Caldwell, and Joyce Robertson.  She is survived by husband of 62 years, James E. Dill of Gallatin; daughters, Christy Jung (Joe) of Portland, Audra Dill of Portland, and Carolyn Victor of Nashville; sons, Phillip Scruggs (Joy) of Kentucky, Curtis Scruggs (Buttons) of Alabama, and Kevin Scruggs of Hartsville; sisters, Irene Williams of Portland, Janice Rollin (Carl) of Indiana, and Uteva Gregory of Gallatin; 13 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.
