Obituary of Elder James Bert Deering

Elder James Bert Deering, age 90, of Lafayette, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023, at Hendersonville Medical Center. Funeral services for Elder James Deering are scheduled to be conducted on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at 2 PM from The Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Elder G. W. Knight and Elder Jimmy Claiborne officiating. Interment will follow in The Drury Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will begin at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, from 12 Noon until 8 PM and on Thursday from 10 AM until service time at 2 PM.

Elder James Deering was preceded in death by his Son, Chuck Deering; Parents, Adam Jefferson Deering and Rittie Lena Ford Deering; Brother, Gene Deering; and Infant Brother, Billy Deering.
