Obituary of Clyde Wallace

Clyde Wallace passed into the arms of Jesus from home surrounded by family on April 25, 2023 at age 91. The Funeral Service, conducted by Brother Anthony Dixon, is 2 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2023 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN. Interment in Bethlehem Cemetery will follow the service. Pallbearers: Keith Belcher, Will Belcher, Todd Jenkins, Justin Haynes, Rayne Ledbetter, and Mike Wallace. Honorary Pallbearers: G.W. Weston and Cliff Kazy. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home on Thursday from 1-8 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. until the service at 2 p.m.

               Clyde Wallace was born in Lebanon TN to Birdie Sexton Wallace and Buford Wallace. Clyde was saved at an early age and followed Christ all of his life. He met the love of his life, Ethel Fisher, in church and they married on October 18, 1950. He joined the U.S. Army and served in the 7th Recon Co. and the 7th Infantry Division from November 1951 through November of 1953. Ethel and Clyde had a wonderful marriage of nearly 73 years and raised three children.

               Mr. Wallace is survived by his lovely wife and best friend, Ethel Wallace; children: Paulette (Billy) Belcher, Clara King, and Mike (Jodie) Wallace; grandchildren: Jennifer King and Keith (Mandy) Belcher; great-grandchildren: Justin Haynes, Jessica Haynes, Arden Belcher, Will Belcher, and Rayne Ledbetter; and sisters: Edna Dickens and Faye Blackwell. He is preceded in death by son-in-law Robert King, parents Birdie and Buford Wallace, brother Harrison Wallace, and sisters Sue Thompson and Dean Marlin. Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN, 37087.
