Obituary of Sammy Don Hire

Mr. Sammy Don Hire, age 87, of Lafayette, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at his residence. Funeral services for Mr. Sammy Hire are scheduled to be conducted on Friday, April 28, 2023, at 1 PM from The Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Reverend Billy Pete Freeman, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in The Macon County Memorial Gardens.

Visitation with the family will begin at the funeral home on Thursday, April 27, 2023, from 4 PM until 9 PM and on Friday from 9 AM until service time at 1 PM.

Sammy Hire was preceded in death by his Wife, Dora Shrum Hire; Son-in-law, Billy Dillard; Great-Grandson, Bailey Law; Parents, William “Leck” Hire and Letha Harper Hire; Sisters, Betty Irene Boyd and Ivy Jones; and Brother, Johnny Law.
