Obituary of James "Country" Herrick-McCloskey

James “Country” Herrick-McCloskey, age 37 of Gallatin, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023.  Funeral service will be Wednesday, May 17th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin, with Bro. Stephen Russell, Elder Ronnie Tennant, and Bro. Joe Whitaker officiating.  Visitation will be Tuesday, May 16th from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday, May 17th from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will follow the service at Jake Link Cemetery, with Lee Herrick, Ronnie Tennant, Kip Ziemer, Joe Whitaker, Larry Gilmore, Eric Parker, and Steven Russell serving as pallbearers.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin to assist the family with expenses.

James was born November 13, 1985 in Portland.  He is preceded in death by adoptive father, Lee McCloskey; and grandmother, Shirley Harrison.  He is survived by children, Eric Parker of Hendersonville, James Herrick of West Virginia, Elizabeth Browder of Hendersonville, and Kamden Fisher of Hendersonville; parents, Larry Herrick and Patti Phillips Herrick of Gallatin; adoptive mother, Shelia McCloskey of Hendersonville; grandparents, Russell and Carol Phillips of Hartsville; brothers, Lee Herrick of Gallatin and A. J. Herrick of Gallatin; sisters, Ashley Hannah of Nashville and Shirley Herrick (Ryan Lechner) of Lafayette; and special friend, Alisha Parker of Hendersonville.  James worked for General Tire in Gallatin.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.
