Obituary of Sandra Jill Vailes

Sandra Jill Carter Vailes, age 63, passed away on May 11, 2023.

Sandra was born on February 19, 1960, to Bobby Houston Carter and Carleen West Carter in Madison. She was a caring friend, loving sister, and wonderful mother who will be missed dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, Steve Vailes; and brother, Frank Carter. She is survived by her wonderful son, Chuck Carter Whitaker; daughters, Kellye Vailes Murray (spouse David) and Ashlye Vailes Bullington (spouse Alan); sister, Vicki Carter Estes; brother, Robert (Kim) Carter; beloved friend and sister-in-law Karen Vailes Myatt; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at 2pm at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet. The Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11am until time of service at 2pm.
