Obituary of Tracy Terry

Tracy Terry, age 58 of Gallatin, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2023.  There will be a Celebration of Life Service Saturday, July 15th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin.  Visitation will be Saturday, July 15th from 10:30 until time of service at 11:00 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to an animal shelter or rescue of your choice.

Ms. Terry was born October 30, 1964 in Gallatin to the late George Terry and Peggy Stinson Terry.  She is survived by brothers, Mike Terry (Paul McCaffrey) of Georgia, Herbert Terry (Sharron) of Gallatin, TN, and John Terry of Kentucky; sister, Taffeny Hicks (Shane Taylor) of Kentucky; step-mother, Dona Terry of Houston, TX; aunt, Martha Stinson Primus of Florida; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; and lifelong friends.  Tracy was a graduate of Gallatin High School Class of 1983.  She enjoyed being outdoors and especially enjoyed being near water, from riding four wheelers on the sandbars of the Kentucky rivers to swimming with the dolphins in Cancun: Anything outdoors is where you could find her and where she wanted to be.  Tracy never met a stranger, spending her work career in customer service, starting at Hills Department Store while still in school.  After graduating she worked for Volunteer State Bank before moving to Western Kentucky.  Tracy was a lover and advocate for animals, both domestic and wild.  She always had the ability to earn their trust and give them a loving place to call home.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.
