Obituary of Robert Lee Castleman

Castleman, Robert Lee, age 96, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2023 in Hermitage.

He was a faithful employee for many years at Rudy's Farm Sausage Company, where he was honored to be a part of the company. He enjoyed working outside, especially getting on his mower and mowing grass. He even got on his mower the week before he passed away. He can be described as a strong-willed but yet gentle man. He loved the Lord and attended the Silver Springs Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ruby Norene Castleman; son, Roger Dale Castleman; daughter, Carolyn Marie Castleman; parents, Foster Harris and Alta Vera (Snider) Castleman; siblings, Willie D. Pack, Mary Kate Swallows, Carson L. Castleman, and Anna Mae Miles.

He is survived by his daughter, Kathy Castleman; son, Wayne Castleman; extended family members, Jennifer Spears (Brandon), Brooke Oliver, and Brandon Kelley; beloved furry friend, Ozzy. Mr. Castleman is also survived by numerous relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023  at 2pm at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Rev. Ronnie Smith officiating. The Interment will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. The visitation will be held on Thursday, June 1 from 12-2pm at the funeral home.

Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Castleman.
