Obituary of Minnie Pearl Thompson

Minnie Pearl Thompson, age 81 of Bethpage, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2023.  Funeral Service will be Saturday, July 1st at 1:00 p.m. at the Gallatin Church of God of Prophecy, with Bro. Leon Graves officiating.  Visitation will be Friday, June 30th from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin and Saturday, July 1st from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the church.  Entombment will follow the service at Sumner Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sarah Cannon Cancer Institution, 2410 Patterson Street, Nashville, TN  37203.

Mrs. Thompson was born November 10, 1941 in Castalian Springs to the late Jack Glenn and Nillie Ann Coker Glenn.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Paul Douglas Thompson; second husband, Russell Taylor; brothers, Daniel Glenn and David Glenn; and God-parents who raised her after her mother died, Maggie Pearl Hunt and Arthur Hunt.  She is survived by daughters, Darlene Spinks (Gary) of Bethpage, Rita Link of Bethpage, and Annette Caldwell of Bethpage; sons, Wayne Thompson (Parrish) of Bethpage and David Thompson (Cheryl) of Bethpage; 8 grandchildren, Christopher Thompson, Tyler Thompson, Seth Ellis, Caitlyn Thompson, Kedia Shehane (Andy Cook), Colton Shehane, Jennifer Coleman, and Brittany Link; and 11 great grandchildren.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.
