Obituary of Sammy Thacker
Sammy Thacker passed away on August 9, 2023 at age 76. The Graveside Service, conducted by Chaplain Leon Corder, is 1 p.m. Thursday, August 10, 2023 at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Sammy Thacker was born in Pikeville KY to Birdie Denson and Segil Thacker. He worked at Firestone. He enjoyed fishing and cooking. Mr. Thacker is survived by wife Mary Thacker, son Jayden Thacker, siblings Shirley Thacker, Sadie Ball, Glenn Thacker, Donald Thacker, and Harold Thacker, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by parents and three half-brothers.
