Obituary of Iline Rakes Fugate

Mrs. Iline Rakes Fugate, age 77 of Portland, Tennessee passed from her earthly home to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at her residence in Portland.  Mrs. Fugate was born on May 30, 1946 in Buckhorn, Kentucky to Ilie and Allena Rakes.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Peggy Murphy, Rachel Kisac, Sarah Gilbert, and Patricia Chalfant; infant brother; infant granddaughter, Melody Fugate.

She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Teddy Fugate; daughters, Valerie (Chuck) Morehead, Traci (Dwayne) Couch and Stephanie Fields; sons, Theodore (Misty) Fugate and Brian Fugate; grandchildren, Joshua (Natasha) Fields, Nathan (Michelle) Morehead, Ryan (Ruby) Couch, Gunnar Couch, Kylie Watkins, Drew Fugate, Annieska Fugate, Gabriel Fugate, and Carissa Fugate; six great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 19^th at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Portland with Mark Carroll officiating. Interment will follow the service at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Nathan Morehead, Brian Fugate, T.D. Fugate, Ryan Couch, Gunnar Couch, and Josh Fields serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, August 19^th from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM.
